Work package 6 contributes to the operational methodology of the Early Warning System on the basis of water monitoring, modelling and climatic and anthropogenic scenarios. Past and future runoff generation and groundwater recharge will be analysed. Historical hydro-meteorological data will be used to create scenarios for water quantity and quality. Scenarios of future water use will help to propose transnational concepts of improved water management for Alpine regions with possible future water scarcity.
